Rudy La Crioux & The All Stars - The world keeps turning
This is Rudy La Crioux's long-awaited second album (their first was on Spindrift records approximately three years ago). This busy band hail from Bristol, England - a long time stronghold for Rock n Roll and Rockabilly music. Their first album became a firm favourite with DJ's and received a lot of airplay from the likes of Geoff Barker (BBC) which could be one reason why Rudy and the boys have been in such great demand on the UK's live circuit where they perform all over the country almost every weekend, including slots at the big weekenders. This album interestingly features guitarist Rob Nevin of the Rimshots and Gene Gambler fame who often joins the band on live dates.
"So this brings me to the band, we've been gigging and recording (new album, 'World Keeps Turning', out at the end of October 2004) for just over six years now and truthfully I can say that 99.9% of this time has been the best of my life. The line up of the band has changed a couple of times since the start but having said that, each member has made a substantial contribution to the things that have gone to make up what Rudy La Crioux and The All Stars are really all about. I can count the members of the band as best friends and we have had a lot of good times along the way. The two new guys, Barry on guitar and Neil on drums, will, as far as I can see, become real good friends because they are easy going, nice guys and want the same things we all want from being in the band, fun. It goes without saying that Rocky and Woody will always have a special place in my heart, we have shared the highs and lows of being in a band, the great gigs, fans, meeting and performing with legends, different venues, recording, the hours on the road, service station food, you get the picture, it's all been worth while, I wouldn't change a thing, well maybe one or two things but that's another story...."
