The Taildraggers

The Taildraggers are a very popular band from Holland. They started in 2001, and their sound gradually changed from hillbilly to neo-rockabilly. This is their second CD. In 2004 they were joined by Eric, who had previously been in neo-rockabilly outfit, The Stacy Cats, who had a CD on Rockhouse Records some years back. This CD is obviously a nod in the direction of Elvis Presley, and incudes songs that Elvis is rumoured to have recorded but have never been issued. Rather than imitate The King, The Taildraggers transform these songs into their rockabilly style. The result works well - a worthy Rockabilly tribute to Elvis which never sounds cheesy and stands up as a good rockin' album in its own right.

"Hot Rod Flamin' Rockabilly and Authentic 50's Screamin' Rock 'n' Roll from Holland" says The Rockabilly Hall Of Fame website.

I think this is a damn good album. Period. The Blackcat
