Nashville Rockabilly
Extremely obscure stuff from the late Fifties and early Sixties. Total playing time of this CD is 79 mins. An excellent collection of rockabilly plus a bit of country from the archives of Murray Nash - an important figure on the Nashville scene since the late 30s. It includes sides from his own Do-Ra-Me and affiliated labels as well as those from a couple of labels he acquired along with titles from custom pressings made for the artists themselves. Although most of the artists are pretty obscure the standard is high with fine singing and instrumental work from the likes of Wally Jeffry, Cliff Nash, Ronnie Burton, Houston Turner, Earl Mack, Curtis Hobock, Gene Taft, James Gallagher and others. There are a couple of unissued titles and an alternate take of Wally Jeffery's great 'Oh yeah'. Excellent sound and informative notes by Dave Travis and some vintage photos.
