The Rioters are an excellent neo-rockabilly band from Austria. If you like later Restless or Frenzy or Rapids stuff, you'll like this.
1.Just me! 2.Right out of my dreams 3.Rebel's heart 4.Don't do me wrong 5.Angel of love 6.Flaming sword 7.In my dreams 8.Love's a lousy game 9.Thinkin' about you 10.No way back to the past 11.Johnny's march to his 12.Tombstone without a name 13.Forever or never 14.Leaving on a jet plane 15.Desert fox
The Rioters
In the first year, we called ourselves 'Restless Rioters', we played only for a 'fistfull of dollars'. We also began to compose our first songs.
Line-Up 1999:
Manuel Graf (Bass)
Harald Huber (Drums and Backing-Vocals)
Andreas Mayerhofer (Vocals)
Harald Weissengruber (Guitar)
Franz Irk (Nanny)
2000 - The 2nd Year
The following year we got a new member: Igor Maravic. Since then Harald Weissengruber plays Lead-Guitar and Igor Maravic Rhythm-Guitar. Now every song had to be re-arranged, so we did nearly no gigs that year and some thought that we had broken up. We also changed the name of our band to 'The Rioters'.
Line-Up since 2000:
Manuel Graf (Bass)
Harald Huber (Drums and Backing-Vocals)
Igor Maravic (Rythm-Guitar)
Andreas Mayerhofer (Vocals)
Harald Weissengruber (Lead-Guitar)
Franz Irk (Nanny)
2001 - The 3rd Year
Played more gigs but not very often in the scene. We took the great idea to record our 1st CD.
2002 - The 4th Year
We worked hard to realice that idea and payed everything ourself. On June 8th we proudly presented our CD 'Riot Time' (and there is only one cover version on this item: Please, Mama Please; Go Cat Go). The people were pleased about our 'Riot Time'.
2003 - The 5th Year
Our first CD pushed our carrier, so we could play outside of Austria for the first time (Germany and Italy) and we started to plan your 2nd CD.
2004 - The 6th Year
We recorded our second CD 'Forever or Never' and offered it to our fans in a great presentation. It became a great success. We can say that at least 200 people come every time to our Concerts in Austria and they sing song we wrote. And that's great! This year we played in Germany and on the 2nd Dutch Ted Weekend in Vlissingen. In the middle of October we will play in Malaga, Spain. information supplied by band
