Twenty Flight Rock

Twenty Flight Rock have been gigging relentlessly on the Rock'n'Roll circuit for donkeys years, yet until now have only appeared on a few compilations. This, their debut album features 16 tracks, 11 of which are their own compositions, the rest carefully chosen covers. There's a good version of Wayne Walkers 'All I Can Do Is Cry' and Hank Williams 'Move It On Over'. Twenty Flight Rock's own stuff has a Vincent feel in places, especially on 'Jump Jump Baby'. The opener 'Five Star Drive' pays tribute to the Zodiac car, whilst the humorous 'Don't Start' reminds me of those comedy/novelty records (Peter Sellers or Bemard Bresslaw style from the early 60's). Best track for me was the highly danceable rocker 'Let's Go'. Good honest Rock'n'Roll produced by Alan Wilson. The Teds will love it!. Deathrow Database
