Bob & The Bearcats
These recordings by Bob & The Bearcats were originally intended to be released as a series of vinyl EPs, but the group split and the idea was abandoned. Not so with the recordings, which later appeared on a vinyl album, and now on this CD. Bob and The Bearcats featured Darrel Higham on lead guitar, Nick Hoadley on double bass, Les Curtis on drums and Bob Butfoy on vocals. Les Curtis later joined Darrel Higham in The Enforcers for a few years. Bob and the Bearcats were formed in the early 90's and quickly established themselves as one of the finest U.K. Rockabilly acts during that period. The band played continously throughout the U.K. and Europe and saw three albums released on the Pollytone label: 'Hold on tight', 'On the rampage' and 'High heels and homicide'.
