RedHot Trio
The RedHot Trio are a wild, exciting and interesting Neo Rockabilly/Rock 'n' Roll band from the Bristol/Swindon area of southern England. They are Jimmy Lee, vocals and stand up drums, Mark James, vocals and guitar and Damien Kerrigan, doghouse bass and vocals. The RedHot Trio have been playing since 2004, performing in clubs and pubs around England. These guys always give 100 per cent to each live show. They perform a mixture of covers and originals that are sure to get the crowd jumping and jiving all night long! You can be sure of a wild night with this band. You can Bop, Jive and come alive with the dead devil sounds of The RedHot Trio! The band started with Mark and Jimmy meeting up when they were thirteen and fourteen (2004) and they later got together with Damien and have been going from strength to strength ever since. These guys live life on the road and have rocked joints all over Britain and overseas. They have found that it's all very well being able to play an instrument but when nuts and bolts fall off the van, changing a tyre or a gearbox on the side of the road can also help if the van breaks down on the M4!
Mark James (Guitar/Vox) –
Mark James was brought up with Rock 'n' Roll/Rockabilly music and started playing guitar when he was eleven. He sure is a guitar picking son of a gun! His main influence is Brian Setzer. He says "Setzer is like the guru of Rockabilly guitar". He has a good understanding of music and he keeps the band under control when it gets a little too wild.
Jimmy Lee (Stand up Drums/Vox) –
Jimmy Lee has been beating his skins from the age of five. He's Rock 'n' Roll all the way. He has always admired the style of Dickie Harrell and Slim Jim Phantom's drumming. When asked, "Why do you stand up and drum?" he says, "I get bored sitting down. I wanna move about". Jimmy also writes a lot of The Trio's original material: "Songwriting is just my way of expressing myself".
Damien Kerrigan (Upright bass/Vox) -
Damien Kerrigan grew up with music; he started playing bass guitar with his dad's country band when he was 17 then later moved on to the upright bass. One of his many influences would be Johnny Cash. He started with The Trio in 2008 adding an even fuller sound to the band. With his harmonies the band has come up another level. He is also the man with the van.
