This is an incredibly authentic sounding 50's style recording from Leroy Davis. Check out the brilliant versions of 'Sittin' on Top Of The World' and 'Crazy Arms'. There's also a cover version here of one of my favourite ever 50's tracks: 'Blackberry Boogie', which was originally recorded by Tennessee Ernie Ford. This version is a streamlined, cut down to basics rendition, which, though it can't compete with the original (which had the likes of musical wizards Speedy West and Jimmy Bryant playing session in the band!), still works well.
