The Jets

"Not only will you find The Jets playing to dance audiences but you will also just as easily find them appearing across the length and breadth of the country at various Theatres. The Motorcycle Show at the N.E.C. played host to the Cotton brothers for the three years in succession. Over 180,000 people attend the show and The Jets were certainly not strangers to a lot of them, some would have definitely seen the lads headline at the famous Isle of Man TT races street party, if not at two of the previous bike shows." from www.thejets.co.uk

"I was kinda surprised when I got this CD from the Jets, cuz I ain't heard nothing from and about them for years, and I thought they split. But, they're back. And you know what to expect from Jets - nostalgic rock'n'roll combined with doowop, rockabilly, blues and a bit of jive. And this CD ain't an exception. It starts with the first single taken from the album 'Treat your man', continues with 'Oh baby please' and '1,2,3'. The title song has that nostalgic 50's high-school atmosphere, while next song, 'When the Cat's away' is one of my faves on the album. Including 'Pussy cat' which comes next. 'What a fool' is done in more, kinda nervous and shakin' neo rockabilly style. The slap bass sound is very very good! Jets are very good musicians - I'd even say, they sing better than they play, which doesn't mean that they don't play well - not at all! Other tunes worth mentioning are 'Saturday Night', 'Lookin' pretty good', 'Can't live with 'em' and 'Nashville blue'. Remember -if you like 1950's rock'n'roll with a touch of modern production while dancing on a Saturday night hop with your baby, the Jets are a good choice for you." "The Jets 'Stare Stare Stare' reaffirms their status as one of Rock'n'Roll's greatest bands. This 1996 17-track realease features a whole bunch of original Jets songs in a variety of great rockin' styles. Superb stuff!" Howard Raucous
