"I'm sure I say the same things every time I review a new Good Rockin'Tonight CD. I'm sure the terms 'highly professional', 'musically inspiring', 'dedication to detail', 'natural talent' and 'superb musicianship' are phrases I use time after time. Good Rockin' Tonight deserve these accolades, they are a very hard-working, highly professional outfit who are a treat to listen to, whether the source be a studio recording or a live concert. I've witnessed both and can honestly say I've never been let down by them. Front man Mark Keeley has a great voice and the rest of the band - John O'Malley (lead guitar), Charlie Samuels (double bass) and Spencer Lingwood (drums) - provide him with top-notch support.
The band can often be found performing at various Elvis conventions and for this, their eighth album, they've put together a strong collection of some of their favourite Presley songs It covers virtually every part of The King's career, though the emphasis is obviously on the early years. But whether it's Sun-period tracks ('Harbour Lights', 'I Forgot To Remember To Forget'), '56 rockers ('One Sided Love Affair', 'Ready Teddy'), '60s items ('Stuck On You', the less-familiar 'Spinout' film song 'I'll Be Back') or the later epics 'Suspicious Minds' and 'I Just Can't Help Believin', they handle each with equal confidence and conviction. They're not straight copies, but at the samee time they never stray too far from the originals. Altogether a superb CD and one which even the most purest Elvis diehard fan should appreciate."
