Alan Mills

Alan Mills was the singer with 'Coast To Coast' who charted briefly in the late 1970's. I remember being the DJ on part of their tour which was organised by the late Hal Carter. Alan Mills made a single of 'Hucklebuck shoes' some time back. He was then known as 'Alan Mills and The Huckleback Band', and also recorded ' Rockabilly's Back In Town' on the flipside. This 45 came out on 1981 and sells nowadyas for around Four UK Pounds. Darrel Higham's believed to be involved in the backing and production of this more traditionally styled Rock'n'roll and Rockabilly album. Alan Mills has also recorded a version of Buddy Holly's 'Blue days, black nights' for a Rockabilly Hall Of Fame compilation with Darrel Higham. Track 15 is an excellent and imaginative cover of the Travelling Wilburys' song.
