The Rockin' Bandits
The Rockin' Bandits were a sort of mixture of your usual British Rockabilly 'club' band with a bit of 'polish' à la Jets. They starred a good lookin' lad called Joe Fury as their singer. Yup - straight forward rockabilly from England. Apart from the liner notes letting us know that the lead singer is available for rent as an Elvis impersonator, the band offers up some sincere rockabilly sounds. The standard intrument lineup with versatile vocals from 'Elvis'. 18 tracks including the country ditty Ain't Gonna Be Your Crazy Cat, the crooning I'm In Love With You Baby, the spot-on fifties doo wop of Angel Girl (a popular club 'stroller'). They cover just about everything suprisingly well.
