"Shakeout sound like The Guana Batz on speed!" Howard Raucous
They've even covered a Green Day song. Cool...
"This is a really good looking album with a fine sleeve and all round packaging. They have a traditional approach to their music, but still diversify a little here and there and it comes across well. The strong part of the CD for me is the middle, when you get the merciless power and onslaught of 'Walking a Fine Line' into 'Going Home' with a nice neo-rockabilly riff, through 'Playing with Fire' with its catchy chorus and into the garage influenced 'Queenie'....four killers in a row! Totally wreck-o-mended....all us teenagers in our thirties really dig it!" M.Fenech / Southern & Rocking / April '97
"This release has a strong 'indie' feel and means that Shakeout have hopefully lost forever the Guana Batz wannabe's label. Apart from two covers all the songs are by the band. 'Going home' is my favourite where the boys really let rip. Another corker is 'Full Moon Saturday Night' - just try to get that tune out of your head. I hope this does well as it is a fresh slant on psychobilly music and that in itself must be a mission after 17 years!" S.Nott / Bedrock Bugle / May '97
