The Pendletones
The Pendletones were founded in 1994 by Oliver Kienle, Joey Glaß, Jürgen Specht and Billy Liever - here's a short history:
1995 - First gigs, an upright bassist (Bobby Vass) from the rockabilly scene and a lead guitarist (Stefan Mikus) from the psychobilly scene joined the band. Jürgen Specht left the band in that year. 1996 - Recording of the first album 'She gives me fever'. Bobby left the
band in the same year. 1997 - Puck Lensing (from the psychobilly scene) joined the band on upright bass. 1999 - Recording of the second album 'Hubba Hubba'. 2000 - Stefan and Puck left the band to found the 'Boozehounds' (www.boozehounds.de) which meant the end of the band. The Pendletones' live set consisted of a mix of Fifties doo-wop and rockabilly, and they played on all of the important doo-wop and acapella festivals in Germany (and even Spain). Stefan a.k.a. Sick Steve now plays in the Boozehounds and the Lunatics (two German Psycho-acts). Puck now plays in the Boozehounds and in one of Germany's most popular blues bands 'Little Roger & The Houserockers' (www.houserockers.de). None of the other band members continued their musical careers. Thanks to Puck (2003) for this information.
