Nu Niles

Formed in Barcelona in 1996,The Nu Niles is without any doubt the most popular Rockabilly band in Spain and a well known one in the international Rockabilly scene. The music genres they play are R&B, Swing, Western Swing, R'n'R, Hillbilly among others. After Five European Tours (1998, 1999 (twice), 2000 and 2002), Two in the USA West Coast (2001 and 2002) and having played in some of the most important festivals worldwide like Hemsby R'N'R Weekender (UK) (1998 and 2001), Rockin' Rollin' Walldorf (Alemania) (2000), Viva Las Vegas (USA) ('02) and Greenbay Festival (Wisconsin / USA), and having toured almost the whole Spain, they have gained a solid reputation as live band. after four years, the second album of the Nu Niles is finally here. A new voice, a new bassist and a bunch of new influences add a whole new range to the Nu Niles style, without changing it too much. To the classic rockabilly and Latin rock 'n' roll, they've added western swing and a touch of jazz. All twelve tracks on the album were self-penned by the band, mainly by Mario Cobo.

"The Spanish band is back, after a few years without a release. From the original line up are just the guitarman and the drummer left and with a new guy on double bass they present their new album.
To say it straight away, the band included much more influences now and they stepped a few floors higher. The Nu-Niles have always been an Authentic Rockabilly band, but now you will hear a lots more Jazz in the music. Listen to songs like I Need Her, Strummer Swing or Always Fightin and you know what I mean.
But also you find on this new album nice ballads like Mr. Moonshine and typical Rockabilly stuff like I Got Me A Girl, My Dreams, Parquear or So Long, That's All , Goodbye.
Well, the new Nu Niles sound much much better and so this album is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED !!!" Madhouseolaf
